Privacy Policy
This policy is short and plain on purpose. It explains what we collect when you sign up, why we collect it, who can touch it, and how you tell us to delete it. No buried surprises.
Who we are
This site is operated by the team behind Aspirants.ai, a personal AI tutor for India's competitive exams (UPSC, SSC, Banking, NEET, JEE, CAT, GATE, RRB and State PSC). You can reach the people responsible at team@aspirants.ai.
What we collect
When you sign up, we collect a deliberately small amount of information:
- Your email address. This is the only thing we actually need, so it is the only thing the form requires.
- The exam you select (optional). If you tell us you are preparing for, say, UPSC or NEET, we save that choice so we can understand which exams aspirants want first.
- Standard analytics. Like most websites, we receive technical information automatically: your IP address, the page you came from, UTM and referrer tags on the link you clicked, and basic device and browser details. We use privacy-focused tools such as Microsoft Clarity and Microsoft Bing UET, which set cookies, to understand how the site is used.
We collect only what we need to set up your account and contact you. We do not take payment details on this site.
Why we collect it
- To set up your account and email you. Your address is how we create your account, send your confirmation, and share genuine product updates, nothing more.
- To tailor the tutor to your exam. The optional exam choice helps us point you at the right practice and content.
- To run and protect the site. Analytics help us fix what is broken, see what aspirants care about, and prevent spam and abuse of the signup form.
Our legal basis and your consent
You give us your email by choosing to sign up, which is your consent. We process the small set of data above to deliver the service you asked for and to keep the site working and safe. You can withdraw your consent at any time by asking us to remove you (see Your rights below), and we will stop emailing you.
We do not sell your data
We do not sell, rent or trade your email address or any other information. Your address is for talking to you about Aspirants.ai, full stop. We will never hand your details to an advertiser or data broker.
Third parties and processors
We use a handful of trusted service providers to run the service, and they only process data on our instructions:
- Email delivery, to send the confirmation and account emails you signed up for.
- Analytics, such as Microsoft Clarity and Bing UET, to understand site usage.
- Hosting and infrastructure, the servers that store your details and serve this site.
These providers are bound to handle the data securely and only for the purposes above.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies, mainly for the analytics tools mentioned above and to keep the site functioning. They help us count visits and improve the page. You can block or clear cookies in your browser at any time; the signup form will still work.
How long we keep your data
We keep your email and optional exam choice for as long as your account is active and you have not asked to be removed. If you ask us to delete it, we remove it promptly. Analytics data is retained only as long as our analytics providers keep it, in aggregate form.
Your rights
You are in control of your information. At any time you can ask us to:
- Access the data we hold about you.
- Correct it if your email or exam choice is wrong.
- Delete it entirely and close your account.
Just email team@aspirants.ai from the address you signed up with and a real person will handle it. Every marketing email we send also carries a one-click unsubscribe link.
Built for aspirants, in India
Aspirants.ai is made for people in India preparing for competitive exams, and we aim to align with India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act. That means we collect the minimum we need, we are clear about why, we ask for your consent, and we honour requests to access or delete your data. If you are an Indian resident, the rights described here are meant to reflect the protections that framework gives you.
Children
Aspirants.ai is intended for serious exam aspirants, who are typically 16 and older, and many of our exams require candidates to be 18 or above. The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has signed up, email us and we will remove the entry.
Security
We protect your data with sensible measures: encrypted connections (HTTPS), access limited to the people who need it, and reputable hosting. No system is perfectly secure, but since we deliberately collect so little, there is very little to expose in the first place.
International transfers
Some of our service providers, such as analytics and hosting, may process data on servers outside India. Where that happens, we rely on providers that commit to protecting your information to a comparable standard. Again, the data involved is limited to an email, an optional exam choice and basic analytics.
Changes to this policy
As the product grows, this policy will grow with it, and we will update it to reflect what we actually do. If we make a meaningful change, we will make it clear on the site. Continuing to use Aspirants.ai after a change means you accept the updated policy.
