Target Test Prep GMAT price, TTP GMAT cost and which plan to buy
Target Test Prep is the GMAT course most people on GMAT Club end up shortlisting, especially for Quant, so the real decision is which TTP plan and how many months. The plan grid has five price points, a monthly option that renews until you cancel, and a sale that changes the math every few weeks. We read the numbers from TTP's own plans page and worked out what each option costs per month of study, where the guarantee starts, and what the GMAT itself adds on top.
- Fresh GMAT Focus questions once your TTP bank starts to repeat
- Every answer choice explained, plus follow-up questions at any hour
- One plan from $24/mo billed yearly or $49 month to month

The short answer
Target Test Prep GMAT costs $249 a month for Self-Study (auto-renewing), $799 for 4 months or $899 for 6 months, read from gmat.targettestprep.com/plans on October 12, 2026. TTP OnDemand, which adds 400 hours of recorded masterclass lessons and the 715+ Score Improvement Guarantee, is $1,299, and TTP LiveTeach with 40 hours of live classes is $1,799. Those are sale prices against list prices of $299, $949, $1,099, $1,599 and $2,199, and the sale is dated to end October 18, 2026. The 6-month plan costs only $100 more than the 4-month plan, so it is the better buy for most people.
What Target Test Prep GMAT costs today
TTP sells three GMAT products. Self-Study is the core course: text lessons, 2,000+ instructor-led video solutions, 4,000+ Quant, Verbal and Data Insights questions, 1,500+ lessons, a personalized study plan, a custom test builder, an AI GMAT coach and 24/7 expert support. It costs $249 a month (list $299), $799 for 4 months (list $949) or $899 for 6 months (list $1,099). OnDemand is $1,299 (list $1,599) and is six months of Self-Study plus 400 hours of recorded masterclass lessons and weekly office hours. LiveTeach is $1,799 (list $2,199) and adds 40 hours of live online classes with homework, a class Slack channel and recordings. The plans page dates the current sale to October 18, 2026.
- Self-Study: $249/mo, $799 for 4 months, $899 for 6
- OnDemand: $1,299 (list $1,599)
- LiveTeach: $1,799 (list $2,199)

Monthly, 4 months or 6 months
The monthly plan renews until you cancel, so it is only cheaper if you finish fast. Three months on monthly billing is $747, which beats the $799 four-month plan. Four months on monthly billing is $996, which does not. The six-month plan is the quiet winner: it costs $899, only $100 more than four months, and works out to about $150 a month against about $200 for the four-month plan and $249 on monthly. Most GMAT Focus candidates who are working full time need 3 to 5 months, and a retake adds weeks, so the extra two months for $100 is cheap insurance. Buy monthly only if your test date is under 90 days away and you will actually study daily.
- 3 months monthly: $747
- 4 months monthly: $996 vs $799 prepaid
- 6 months: $899, about $150 a month
- Six months is $100 more than four
Is OnDemand worth $400 more than Self-Study?
OnDemand includes six months of Self-Study, so the real comparison is $1,299 against the $899 six-month plan. The $400 buys two things. First, 400 hours of whiteboard masterclass video, which helps people who learn better from a teacher on camera than from text lessons. Second, the 715+ Score Improvement Guarantee, which TTP lists only on OnDemand and LiveTeach. If you already learn well from reading and worked solutions, Self-Study covers the same question bank and the same analytics. If you have stalled on your own before, OnDemand is where TTP starts to look like a full course.
- OnDemand includes 6 months of Self-Study
- $400 buys 400 hours of masterclass video
- The 715+ guarantee starts at OnDemand
- Same questions and analytics as Self-Study
What the 715+ Score Improvement Guarantee really pays
The guarantee pays out in course time, not money. TTP's OnDemand guarantee promises a 715 or higher; if you do not reach it, you get a free OnDemand subscription. To qualify you must finish 100% of the course and meet its accuracy benchmarks, and send your new official score within 30 days of the test. Self-Study has its own sliding guarantee: a candidate starting between 200 and 535 needs a 130-point gain, 545 to 595 needs 70, and from 655 up it is 10 points, again paid as a free subscription equal to the original purchase, with your prior official score sent within 30 days of enrolling. Cash refunds are a separate matter, and TTP's terms say Self-Study and OnDemand sales are final with no partial refunds. LiveTeach can be refunded only if you ask 14 or more days before the start, minus the price of the Self-Study plan.
- 715+ or a free OnDemand subscription
- Self-Study guarantee: +10 to +130 points by starting score
- Needs 100% of the course completed
- Self-Study and OnDemand sales are final
The TTP GMAT discount and the sale banner
The prices above already include the current sale, so a coupon code that promises extra money off often stacks with nothing. TTP's own pages are inconsistent about the size of the sale: the homepage notice says "Save up to $100" while the plans banner says "Save up to $400", and both are true depending on the plan. Self-Study saves $50 to $200, OnDemand $300 and LiveTeach $400. If the sale ends before you buy, budget the list prices of $299 a month, $949, $1,099, $1,599 or $2,199.
- Sale already applied at checkout
- Self-Study saves $50 to $200
- OnDemand saves $300, LiveTeach $400
- Sale dated to end October 18, 2026
Target Test Prep vs Magoosh vs e-GMAT
The two cheaper rivals are cheaper for a reason, and the reason is mostly volume. Magoosh GMAT Premium is $249 for 6 months or $349 for 12, with 800+ practice questions, a 7-day no-questions refund and a money-back guarantee of up to 70 points if you complete the plan. e-GMAT sells one course at three lengths, $299 for 2 months, $429 for 4 and $549 for 6, with 14,500+ questions, 15 full mocks, live sessions three times a week and a 7-day money-back window. TTP Self-Study at $899 for 6 months is the most expensive of the three for self-study and the only one with no cash refund window, but its Quant curriculum is the reason most people shortlist it. Manhattan Prep now sells through Kaplan's checkout, which did not show prices to us, so we have left it out rather than repeat an old figure.
- Magoosh: $249 for 6 months, 800+ questions
- e-GMAT: $549 for 6 months, 14,500+ questions
- TTP: $899 for 6 months, 4,000+ questions
- Only Magoosh and e-GMAT offer a 7-day refund
What the GMAT itself costs
Budget the exam next to the course. GMAC charges $275 for the GMAT Focus Edition at a US test center and $300 online. Rescheduling costs $55 to $165 at a test center depending on how close you are to the date ($60 to $180 online), and changes inside 24 hours forfeit the whole fee. You must wait 16 days between attempts and can sit at most five times in any rolling 12 months; there is no longer a lifetime limit. Scores run from 205 to 805 and stay valid for five years. One attempt plus the 6-month Self-Study plan comes to $1,174 at a test center, and a retake adds another $275.
- GMAT Focus: $275 test center, $300 online
- 16 days between attempts, 5 per 12 months
- Score scale 205 to 805
- 6-month TTP plus one attempt: $1,174

Starter is $24 a month billed yearly ($288 a year) or $49 month to month, cancel any time, which is less than one month of TTP Self-Study.

Honest answers
Target Test Prep GMAT price for Self-Study, OnDemand and LiveTeach, and which TTP plan to buy, answered straight.
Target Test Prep GMAT costs $249 a month, $799 for 4 months or $899 for 6 months of Self-Study, $1,299 for OnDemand and $1,799 for LiveTeach, read from gmat.targettestprep.com/plans on October 12, 2026. Those are sale prices against list prices of $299, $949, $1,099, $1,599 and $2,199. The sale is dated to end October 18, 2026.
For most self-directed candidates, yes, mainly for Quant, where TTP's lesson sequence and 4,000+ question bank are its strongest point. It is less worth it on the monthly plan if you will need more than three months, because four months of monthly billing ($996) costs more than the prepaid 4-month ($799) and 6-month ($899) plans.
The 6-month Self-Study plan at $899 is the best value for most people: it is $100 more than the 4-month plan and works out to about $150 a month. Buy monthly only if you will test within about 90 days. Move up to OnDemand ($1,299) if you learn better from video lectures or want the 715+ Score Improvement Guarantee.
Yes. TTP offers a 5-day trial for $0 with no automatic billing, read from its plans page on October 12, 2026. The Self-Study trial gives full access to the course, and the OnDemand trial covers the first lessons. Use it to check whether the text-lesson format suits you, since paid sales are final.
The monthly Self-Study plan does. TTP describes it as course access that renews monthly until you cancel, at $249 a month during the current sale. The 4-month and 6-month plans, OnDemand and LiveTeach are fixed-length purchases. If you choose monthly, set a reminder to cancel the day after your exam.
OnDemand is six months of Self-Study plus 400 hours of recorded masterclass video lessons, weekly live office hours and the 715+ Score Improvement Guarantee. It costs $1,299 against $899 for six months of Self-Study, so the upgrade is $400. The question bank, lessons and analytics are the same in both.
The current sale is already applied at checkout: $50 to $200 off Self-Study, $300 off OnDemand and $400 off LiveTeach, dated to end October 18, 2026. Affiliate sites also advertise reader codes. Check the final checkout total, because a code applied on top of a sale price often changes nothing.
Mostly no. TTP's terms say Self-Study, OnDemand and tutoring sales are final with no partial refunds. LiveTeach is refundable if you ask 14 or more days before the class starts, minus the price of the Self-Study plan. The score guarantees pay out as free course time, not cash.
No. Magoosh GMAT Premium is $249 for 6 months or $349 for 12, against $899 for 6 months of TTP Self-Study, read from both vendors on October 6, 2026. TTP has about five times as many questions (4,000+ against 800+), while Magoosh offers a 7-day refund that TTP does not.
GMAC charges $275 to take the GMAT Focus Edition at a US test center and $300 online. Rescheduling costs $55 to $180 depending on timing and format, extra score reports are $35 each, and you can retake after 16 days, up to five times in any 12 months.
