DAT Booster costs $549 for the 90-day Premium membership or $899 for the 180-day Premium Max membership, read from boosterprep.com on October 5, 2026. Those are sale prices against list prices of $649 and $1,249, both are one-time payments that do not auto-renew, and both include 11,200+ DAT questions, 60+ practice tests, 3,000+ videos and PATBooster. That makes Booster $50 cheaper than DAT Bootcamp Pro ($599) and $100 cheaper than Bootcamp Plus ($999).
If you are reading this, you have probably already narrowed DAT prep down to Booster or Bootcamp and you are about to pay for one of them. The pages that rank for this question are review sites earning a commission on the sale, and the figures they quote drift: some still list Booster at a single price, some apply a reader code to a price that has already moved. We read the checkout and the terms of use directly. One practical note first: DAT Booster now lives at boosterprep.com. The old datbooster.com address fails with a certificate error, which is why some bookmarks and older links look broken.
DAT Booster price by plan
| Plan | Price now | List price | Access | What you get |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Premium Membership | $549 | $649 | 90 days | 11,200+ questions, 60+ practice tests, 3,000+ videos, 5,000+ illustrations, PATBooster, PAT generators, 3D models, tutoring |
| Premium Max | $899 | $1,249 | 180 days | Everything in Premium plus 5 extra tests each in Biology, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, PAT and Reading, priority support |
| PATBooster on its own | $49 a month or $249 a year | $599 a year | Auto-renews | 10 PAT practice tests, 2,500+ PAT questions, 1,000+ videos (already included in DAT Booster) |
Two details on that table change how you should buy. First, you cannot move from the 90-day plan to the 180-day plan later, so the length you pick at checkout is the length you have. Second, Booster lets you pause or freeze a membership from Account Settings, which means buying early in a sale costs you nothing in study days. The standalone PATBooster subscription is only worth it if you are taking a test that has a PAT section and do not want the rest of the DAT bank; everything in it is already inside both DAT plans.
How much does DAT Booster cost per day of study?
Premium works out to about $6.10 a day and Premium Max to about $4.99 a day, so the longer plan is cheaper per day by roughly a fifth. The $350 difference buys 90 more days and 25 extra section tests. Most students who study for the DAT spend 200 to 400 hours over two to four months, which fits inside 90 days if your test date is booked and you are studying more or less full time. If you are preparing alongside a full semester of science classes, or you already suspect you will need a retake, the 180-day plan covers the ADA's 60-day wait between attempts without a second purchase.
DAT Booster vs DAT Bootcamp price
| What you buy | DAT Booster | DAT Bootcamp |
|---|---|---|
| 90-day plan | $549 (list $649) | $599 (list $699) |
| 180-day plan | $899 (list $1,249) | $999 (list $1,299) |
| Questions | 11,200+ | 11,000+ |
| Practice tests | 60+ | 60+, plus 35 more on Plus |
| Installments | None shown at checkout | Klarna or Afterpay, 4 payments of $149.75 or $249.75 |
| Ordinary refund | Within 24 hours, at Booster's discretion, 7% fee kept | None, fees are non-refundable |
| Score guarantee remedy | Full refund or an extension, your choice | Extension only, up to 180 days |
On price alone Booster wins at both lengths. On terms it wins too: a 24-hour window to change your mind, and a guarantee that can actually return your money. Bootcamp's advantages are elsewhere. It splits the cost into four interest-free payments, which matters if $599 in one charge is a problem this month, and many students rate its full-length tests as the closest match to the real Prometric interface. We have the full Bootcamp breakdown, including the guarantee fine print, on our DAT Bootcamp price page.
What the DAT Booster guarantee really requires
The Higher Score Guarantee only applies to repeat test takers. You must have already taken the DAT in the United States and received an official score before you bought the membership. Before your retake you need at least 8 practice tests completed in every subject, each with a score of 300 or more, and at least 80% of the extra questions and video content. If your retake Academic Average is the same or lower, you can choose an extension equal to your original term or a full refund with no processing fee, claimed by email within 15 days of your retake score with both score reports attached.
So if this is your first DAT, there is no guarantee on the table at all, from Booster or from Bootcamp. That is not a reason to avoid either one. It is a reason not to let the word "guaranteed" decide between them, and to choose on price, access length and how you like to study.
Can you get a refund from DAT Booster?
Only within 24 hours of purchase, and only at Booster's discretion. The terms of use say you email support with the reason, refunds are judged partly on your account activity, and a 7% processing fee is kept from any refund granted. After the membership has been active for 24 hours, the only route to money back is the score guarantee above. Payments are processed by card at checkout, and no installment option was shown on the upgrade page when we checked.
What the rest of the DAT prep market costs
| Option | Price | Access | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| DAT Booster Premium | $549 | 90 days | The lowest price for a full DAT bank with PAT |
| DAT Bootcamp Pro | $599 | 90 days | Interface realism and installments |
| Kaplan DAT On Demand | $699 (3 months) or $999 (6 months) | 3 or 6 months | Students who want a traditional course brand |
| Princeton Review DAT 430+ course | $1,599 (list $1,999) | Live course, 60 hours | Students who need scheduled live teaching |
| Chad's Prep DAT | $60 a month | Month to month | Chemistry and biology video review only (no PAT or Reading) |
| DAT Destroyer book | $189.95 | Extra science problem volume | |
| ADA official full practice test | $100 | One sitting | A final check on the real test maker's items |
| Aspirants.ai Starter | $288 a year or $49 a month | Cancel any time | Fresh DAT questions once a bank repeats |
Prices were read from kaptest.com, princetonreview.com, school.chadsprep.com, orgoman.com and ada.org in early October 2026. Remember to budget the exam itself: the ADA charges $580 per DAT attempt, non-refundable, so Booster Premium plus one sitting comes to $1,129.
Is DAT Booster worth it?
For most students, yes. It is the cheapest complete DAT bank sold today, it includes the PAT tools that cheaper resources skip, and the 24-hour refund window lets you try the interface with real money at stake rather than a free sample. It is less worth it if you will not finish 60 practice tests in 90 days, since unused days are not refundable after the first 24 hours. In that case either buy Premium Max for $899, or pause the membership until your study plan actually starts.
The weak point of any fixed bank shows up late. In the last few weeks before the test most students are re-taking practice tests they half remember, and the score stops telling them anything new. That is where fresh DAT practice questions help: Aspirants.ai writes new DAT-style questions on the section where you keep losing points, explains every answer choice, and answers follow-up questions at any hour. If your professors hand out lecture slides and problem sets as PDFs, you can also turn your organic chemistry notes into a practice quiz and drill them the same way. To see what score you are actually aiming for on the 200 to 600 scale, read what counts as a good DAT score.
Frequently asked questions
How much does DAT Booster cost?
DAT Booster costs $549 for 90 days of Premium or $899 for 180 days of Premium Max, read from boosterprep.com on October 5, 2026. Those are sale prices against $649 and $1,249 list. Both are one-time payments with no auto-renewal and include 11,200+ questions, 60+ practice tests and PATBooster.
Is DAT Booster or Bootcamp better?
Booster is cheaper by $50 to $100 per plan and has better money terms: a 24-hour refund window and a guarantee that can pay out as a full refund. Bootcamp offers Klarna and Afterpay installments and is often described as the closest match to the real test interface. Pick on budget and how you plan to pay.
Is PATBooster included in DAT Booster?
Yes. Every DAT Booster membership includes PATBooster's practice tests, questions and generators. PATBooster is also sold on its own for $49 a month or $249 a year, but only for students who want the Perceptual Ability material without the rest of the DAT bank.
Does DAT Booster have a payment plan?
No installment option was shown on Booster's upgrade page on October 5, 2026; both plans are a single card payment. DAT Bootcamp does offer four interest-free payments through Klarna or Afterpay, $149.75 for Pro and $249.75 for Plus.
Can I switch from the 90-day to the 180-day DAT Booster plan?
No. Booster states that you cannot upgrade from the 90-day membership to the 180-day membership later, so choose the length at checkout. You can pause or freeze either membership from Account Settings if your study start date moves.
Does DAT Booster have a money-back guarantee?
Only for repeat takers. If you already have an official DAT score, complete 8 practice tests per subject scoring 300 or more, and finish 80% of the extra questions and videos, a retake with no improvement lets you choose a full refund or an extension. First-time takers are not covered.
