Blueprint MCAT prep price, prep course and tutoring cost, $99 to $10,999

Every Blueprint course sits on the same Self-Paced core, and the more expensive plans add live teaching on top. Self-Paced includes the personalized study plan, 500+ videos, the Qbank with 5,000+ questions (now on iOS), 1,600+ flashcards, 16 full-length exams (10 Blueprint full-lengths plus the 6 official AAMC practice exams), the online AAMC practice resources, six content review books and unlimited live review sessions six days a week. Live Online adds 40+ hours of live classes taught by two instructors. The 515+ course adds 80 hours of live lessons and workshops, weekly check-ins with an MCAT coach and extra strategy modules, and it carries the strongest guarantee. The Practice Tests and Qbank product is the cut-down option: 5 full-lengths (exams 2 to 6, the first is free with an account) and the 5,000+ question Qbank, no videos or books.

Blueprint advertises each course with a single "from" price, but the cart asks you to pick an access length, and the price climbs with it. Self-Paced is $999 for 6 months, $1,299 for 9 and $1,499 for 12, each shown against a regular price $500 higher. Live Online is $1,999 for 6 months and $2,199 for 9, with no discount showing. The 515+ course is $2,399, $2,599 and $2,999 for 6, 9 and 12 months, each $600 under the regular price. The per-month cost falls as you buy longer: Self-Paced goes from $166.50 a month on the 6-month plan to $124.92 on the 12-month plan. If your test date is less than six months away, the 6-month plan is the right buy. If it is further out, compare the 9-month price with a 6-month plan plus an extension, because extensions are final sale and do not count toward guarantee refunds.

First, with the 515+ discount running, Live Online is hard to justify. Six months of Live Online is $1,999 with 40+ live hours and the basic score increase guarantee. Six months of 515+ is $2,399, so $400 more buys twice the live teaching, a weekly coach and a guarantee of 515 (or 15 points if you start below 500). Second, the tutoring bundle inside 515+ is the cheapest tutoring Blueprint sells. The 12-month 515+ plan is $2,999 on its own and $3,599 with 10 tutoring hours, so those 10 hours cost $600, or $60 an hour. Bought separately, the Core tutoring package is $2,500 for the same 10 hours. The 6-month version adds 5 hours for $600, which is $120 an hour. If you were going to buy a course and some tutoring anyway, the bundle is the way to do it.

Blueprint sells two tutoring tiers in 10, 16, 24 and 40-hour packages. Core pairs you with a 517+ scoring tutor and includes 6 months of the Self-Paced course: $2,500, $3,799, $4,999 or $7,399. Premium uses a 520+ scoring tutor and includes the Live Online course: $3,500, $5,299, $7,199 or $10,999. The hourly rate falls with volume, from $250 to $185 an hour on Core and from $350 to $275 on Premium. There is $100 off any package of $1,000 or more. Tutoring hours expire six months after purchase, and the refund terms are tighter than they look: a full refund within 7 days if tutoring has not started, then $125 back per unused hour until day 180, and only $75 per unused hour once sessions have begun.

Blueprint's refund policy is stricter than most MCAT vendors. On the Self-Paced course (3 to 18-month plans) you have 24 hours from purchase to ask for a full refund. On Live Online and 515+ you have three calendar days, and only if you have opened no more than 15 course modules. MCAT exams, the Qbank, books, extensions and AAMC resources are all final sale. Two fees apply on course refunds: if you redeemed the AAMC codes, Blueprint keeps $250, and if the books are not back in excellent condition within 30 days, it keeps another $200. So the order of operations matters. Use the 14-day free trial first, decide, and do not redeem the AAMC material until you are sure the course is staying.

Every Blueprint course carries a guarantee, but the basic one is narrow. On Self-Paced (3+ month plans) and Live Online (6+ month plans), you qualify only if your official score does not increase at all from your baseline. A one-point gain ends the claim. You also have to complete every learning module, the diagnostic plus three Blueprint full-lengths and two scored AAMC tests, and 500 extra questions. The offer is an extension (3 months on Self-Paced, 6 on Live Online) or a full refund. The 515+ guarantee is the meaningful one: 515 if your diagnostic is 500 or higher, otherwise a 15-point increase, provided you attend 30 of the 32 sessions live, finish all modules, take the diagnostic, four Blueprint full-lengths and five AAMC tests, and answer 1,000 more questions. All guarantees are for first-time Blueprint learners who buy direct, and the AAMC resources ($250) are excluded from any refund.

On list price Blueprint is the cheaper of the two big course brands this month. Kaplan's MCAT catalog, read the same day, shows On Demand from $1,299 (regular $1,599), Live Online from $2,399, In Person from $3,399, tutoring plus Live Online from $3,599, the 515+ course at $3,599 ($3,060 under code 515MCAT, which ran September 21 to 30, 2026) and the Online Bootcamp at $7,299. So Blueprint Self-Paced at $999 undercuts Kaplan On Demand by $300, and Blueprint 515+ at $2,399 undercuts Kaplan 515+ even after Kaplan's code. UWorld is cheaper still if you only want a bank: its MCAT QBank is $339 for 90 days and its Core course with books is $599, but neither has live teaching. For practice alone, Blueprint's $299 six-month plan is the lowest price for five full-length exams.
