The short answer
TrueLearn COMBANK costs $199 for 30 days of the COMLEX Level 1 SmartBank, $339 for 90 days, $419 for 180 days, $549 for a year and $569 for 545 days, read from truelearn.com on October 9, 2026. Level 2-CE uses the same $199 to $549 ladder and Level 3 runs $239 to $459. The pass guarantee only comes with plans of 90 days or longer, and it replaces your subscription rather than refunding you.
What TrueLearn COMBANK costs today
TrueLearn sells COMBANK as a separate SmartBank for each COMLEX level, priced by how long you want access. The Level 1 SmartBank has 2,900+ NBOME-formatted questions and costs $199 for 30 days, $339 for 90 days, $419 for 180 days, $549 for 365 days and $569 for 545 days. Level 2-CE has 2,700+ questions on the same ladder, $199, $339, $419 and $549, without the 545-day option. Level 3 has 2,200+ items plus 30 clinical decision-making cases and costs $239, $279, $389 and $459. Adding the 160-question Predictive Assessment Exam to Level 1 or Level 2-CE moves each tier to $259, $399, $479 and $609, which TrueLearn presents as a $10 bundle saving.
- Level 1: $199 to $569, 2,900+ questions
- Level 2-CE: $199 to $549, 2,700+ questions
- Level 3: $239 to $459, 2,200+ items and 30 CDM cases
- Read from truelearn.com on October 9, 2026
The 30-day plan is the expensive one
TrueLearn prints a price per day under every tier, and it tells the story. Level 1 costs $6.63 a day at 30 days and $1.04 a day at 545 days. The jump from 30 to 90 days is $140 and buys two more months, but it also buys something the 30-day plan cannot have at any price: eligibility for the pass guarantee, which starts at 90 days. Dedicated Level 1 study commonly runs six to eight weeks on top of lighter use during second year, so the 30-day plan only makes sense as a last pass over a bank you already finished.
- 30 days: $6.63 a day, no guarantee
- 90 days: $3.77 a day, guarantee eligible
- 545 days: $1.04 a day
- You get a year to activate after you buy
What the pass guarantee actually covers
The badge on every plan card says First-Time Pass Guarantee. The FAQ sets the conditions. The plan must be 90 days or longer. You must complete at least 50% of the bank. The subscription must be activated at least 60 days before your test date and must not have expired more than 30 days before it. Only one claim is honored per subscription, institutional subscriptions do not qualify, and you have to upload the full score report. The remedy is a new subscription of the same length. TrueLearn states plainly that it does not offer a money-back guarantee.
- 90-day plan or longer
- At least half the bank completed
- Activated 60+ days before the exam
- Remedy is more access, not cash
The pass/fail clause and Level 2-CE
One line in the guarantee terms matters more than the rest: it "applies to pass/fail exams only." COMLEX Level 1 has been reported as pass or fail since May 2022, so it fits cleanly. Level 2-CE and Level 3 still return a three-digit score with a passing standard, and the Level 2-CE and Level 3 plan cards still show the guarantee badge. If the guarantee is part of why you are buying a Level 2-CE or Level 3 plan, ask TrueLearn support to confirm in writing that your exam qualifies before the 7-day refund window closes.
- Level 1 is pass/fail since May 2022
- Level 2-CE and Level 3 are scored
- Get the answer in writing first
- Ask inside the 7-day refund window
Refunds, activation and extensions
The refund window is short. TrueLearn considers a refund only within 7 days of purchase, or 7 days of a renewal charge, and pays nothing at all once you have answered more than 25 questions. Activation is flexible: a personal subscription can sit unactivated for up to a year and self-activates at day 365, which makes it reasonable to buy during a sale and start later. Extensions are sold for personal plans, but only within one week after expiry. Miss that week and you buy a new subscription, and your previous data does not carry over. Each plan also caps total attempts at three times its guaranteed question count.
- Refund: 7 days and 25 questions at most
- Activate any time within a year
- Extend within 1 week of expiry
- Question cap: 3x the bank size
Bundles, COMAT and the Mastery packages
The bundles are where the large numbers come from. Level 1 plus the Predictive Assessment plus the USMLE Step 1 SmartBank (3,000+ questions) costs $639 for 180 days, $769 for a year and $799 for 545 days. For third year, the Osteopathic Third Year Bundle (Level 2-CE bank, the Level 2-CE assessment and all 8 COMAT shelf banks at 90 days each) runs $549 to $809, and the Complete Third Year Bundle adds the USMLE Step 2 CK bank for $629 to $879. Single COMAT shelf banks are $60 for 30 days or $110 for 90, and all 8 are $399. The COMLEX Mastery Bundle is $1,239 and the COMLEX plus USMLE Mastery Bundle is $1,499.
- COMAT: $60 or $110 per subject, $399 for all 8
- Third Year bundles: $549 to $879
- COMLEX Mastery: $1,239
- COMLEX plus USMLE Mastery: $1,499
TrueLearn coupon codes that work on COMBANK
TrueLearn publishes its codes on a promo page instead of hiding them behind affiliates. On October 9, 2026 it listed COMLEX15 for $15 off COMLEX Level 1, Level 2 or Level 3 prep, ROTATION10 for $10 off COMAT shelf prep and TAKE5 for $5 off any 30-day or longer SmartBank. Every code is for first-time purchasers only and excludes renewals, individual assessments and past purchases. Coupon sites that promise 30% or 40% off COMBANK are not showing anything TrueLearn itself offers.
- COMLEX15: $15 off Level 1, 2 or 3
- ROTATION10: $10 off COMAT
- TAKE5: $5 off a SmartBank
- First purchase only
COMBANK vs UWorld for COMLEX
UWorld does not sell a standalone COMLEX bank. Its COMLEX Level 1 product is the full USMLE Step 1 QBank plus a 140+ question OMT supplement, at $369 for 30 days, $479 for 90, $539 for 180, $599 for 360 and $749 for 730, with the OMT supplement alone at $49 to $99. So the choice is about format. COMBANK writes every item in NBOME style with OMM throughout, for $339 at 90 days. UWorld gives you its well-known USMLE explanations, which suit students sitting both exams, with OMT bolted on. UWorld lists no pass guarantee; its refunds are prorated with a 10% fee.
- COMBANK Level 1, 90 days: $339
- UWorld Step 1 + OMT 1, 90 days: $479
- UWorld OMT supplement alone: $49 to $99
- Sitting both exams favors a bundle
Where Aspirants.ai fits next to COMBANK
Aspirants.ai does not replace an NBOME-style bank and has no OMM video library. It covers the gap that shows up in the last month: you have seen most COMBANK items once, you start recognizing answers instead of reasoning to them, and your weak systems need more questions than the bank has left. Aspirants.ai writes new board-style vignettes on the systems you choose, explains every answer choice, and lets you paste in a COMBANK question you got wrong and keep asking why at 1 a.m.
- New vignettes once the bank feels familiar
- Your weakest systems first
- From $24/mo billed yearly, cancel any time

TrueLearn COMBANK price for COMLEX Level 1, Level 2-CE and Level 3, the pass guarantee rules, refunds and COMBANK vs UWorld, answered straight.
TrueLearn COMBANK costs $199 for 30 days of COMLEX Level 1, $339 for 90 days, $419 for 180 days, $549 for a year and $569 for 545 days, read from truelearn.com on October 9, 2026. Level 2-CE is $199 to $549 and Level 3 is $239 to $459. Bundles with assessments, COMAT or USMLE banks run up to $1,499.
Yes. TrueLearn lists its own codes on its promo page. On October 9, 2026 COMLEX15 took $15 off COMLEX Level 1, 2 or 3 prep, ROTATION10 took $10 off COMAT prep and TAKE5 took $5 off any SmartBank of 30 days or longer. All are for first-time purchasers and exclude renewals and assessments.
Yes, on plans of 90 days or longer. If you fail, TrueLearn gives you a new subscription of the same length, not a refund. You must finish at least half the bank, activate at least 60 days before the exam, and upload your full score report. The terms say the guarantee applies to pass/fail exams only.
Only within 7 days of purchase or of a renewal charge, and only if you have answered 25 questions or fewer. After that no full or partial refund is given. TrueLearn also states that it does not offer a money-back guarantee, so treat the purchase as final once you start practicing.
For COMLEX alone, COMBANK is the closer match and the cheaper one: 2,900+ NBOME-style questions for $339 at 90 days. UWorld sells its USMLE Step 1 bank with a 140+ question OMT supplement for $479 at 90 days. Students sitting both COMLEX and USMLE often pair UWorld with COMBANK, or buy TrueLearn's Level 1 plus Step 1 bundle.
TrueLearn lists 2,900+ questions in the COMLEX Level 1 SmartBank, 2,700+ in Level 2-CE and 2,200+ items in Level 3, plus 30 clinical decision-making cases with 165 questions. Each COMAT subject bank has 250+ questions. You can attempt up to three times the guaranteed count during your subscription.
Yes. A personal subscription can be activated any time within a year of purchase and self-activates on day 365. That lets you buy during a promotion and start the clock when dedicated study begins. Bundle banks get a longer activation window so each piece can be used in the right school year.
TrueLearn does not list a free COMBANK trial on its COMLEX pages. It offers a free 120-question trial for USMLE, not COMLEX. The cheapest way to try COMBANK is the 30-day plan at $199, and the 7-day, 25-question refund rule means you should keep your first session short if you are unsure.
COMQUEST is another COMLEX question bank that TrueLearn now owns. On the Level 1 page it is sold as an add-on to COMBANK: $150 for 30 days, $260 for 90 days, $300 for 180 days and $350 for a year. It is not included in the standard COMBANK price.
For most DO students sitting COMLEX Level 1, yes, at 90 days or longer. TrueLearn says nearly every osteopathic student uses it, its price per day falls fast with longer plans, and the guarantee starts at 90 days. Skip the 30-day plan unless you have already finished the bank once.
