OnlineMedEd cost and OnlineMedEd price for MD, DO and PA students
OnlineMedEd built its name on free whiteboard videos, and plenty of students still assume it works that way. It does not any more. The pricing page now sells three plan lengths for three programs, every one of them paid, and the buy button sends you to Archer Review, which runs the new platform. If you are a medical, DO or PA student trying to decide whether to put $79 or $360 on a card, this page lists exactly what each plan costs, what changed in the move to Archer Review, what you can and cannot get back if you change your mind, and how the price compares with UWorld, Amboss, Sketchy and Boards and Beyond.
- Fresh USMLE, COMLEX and PANCE vignettes on the topic the video just covered
- Every answer choice explained, plus follow-up questions at any hour
- From $24/mo billed yearly or $49 month to month, next to the library you keep
Questions are generated on each exam's current published format. Plans from $24/mo billed yearly, cancel anytime.

The short answer
OnlineMedEd costs $79 for one month, $288 for six months ($48 a month) or $360 for a year ($30 a month), read from onlinemeded.com/pricing on October 19, 2026. The MD, DO and PA programs are all priced the same. OnlineMedEd is now powered by Archer Review: checkout and login happen on Archer Review's platform, plans renew automatically, and the only stated refund window is 24 hours after purchase, before you complete the baseline assessment.
What OnlineMedEd costs on each plan
OnlineMedEd sells three plan lengths. The monthly plan is $79 billed every month. The six-month plan is $288 billed every six months, which is $48 a month. The annual plan, marked most popular, is $360 billed once a year, which is $30 a month and less than a dollar a day. OnlineMedEd says the annual plan saves $588 a year over paying monthly, and the arithmetic holds: twelve monthly payments come to $948. There is no three-month plan on the current page. Older copies of the pricing page that still show up in search results list a three-month option and a $432 annual price, so if you see those figures quoted elsewhere, they are out of date.
- Monthly: $79
- Six months: $288, or $48 a month
- Annual: $360, or $30 a month
- Twelve monthly payments: $948
MD, DO and PA programs cost the same
The pricing page has a tab for each program, and all three carry the same $79, $288 and $360 prices. What changes is the content. The MD plan covers the complete preclinical and clinical library with Step 1 and Step 2 prep, 600+ video lessons, 3,000+ illustrated note pages and 3,300+ question bank items. The DO plan has the same library and question count but swaps in Level 1 and Level 2 prep and adds an OMM course written by DOs, which OnlineMedEd builds into the plan rather than selling as an add-on. The PA plan has the 600+ whiteboard videos and 3,000+ note pages with a smaller bank of 2,800+ questions aimed at the PANCE and PANRE. Every plan also includes three short Essentials courses: Learning How to Learn, Biostatistics, and Food as Medicine.
- MD: Step 1 and Step 2, 3,300+ questions
- DO: COMLEX Level 1 and 2 plus OMM, 3,300+ questions
- PA: PANCE and PANRE, 2,800+ questions
- Same three prices on all three programs
What changed when OnlineMedEd moved to Archer Review
OnlineMedEd is now sold as OnlineMedEd, powered by Archer Review. The pricing page says it plainly: you will be redirected to Archer Review for checkout and to log in to the new platform, and every buy button points to a checkout on doctors.archerreview.com. Archer Review is the company better known for its NCLEX question bank. For a buyer this has three practical effects. Your receipt and your account are with Archer Review. Archer Review's terms decide renewals and refunds. And if you already pay for the original OnlineMedEd platform, you have to email support@archerreview.com to move across, and OnlineMedEd states that your progress on the original platform cannot be transferred. A student halfway through a question bank should plan for that before switching.
- Checkout and login on Archer Review
- Archer Review terms apply to renewals and refunds
- Existing subscribers switch by emailing support
- Old platform progress does not transfer
Which OnlineMedEd plan is the best buy
The answer depends on how far away your exam is, because the plan you pick is really a bet on how long you will use it. If Step 1, Level 1 or the PANCE is less than two months out, the monthly plan is the cheaper way to cover the gap: two months cost $158, against $288 for six. Between three and six months, buy the six-month plan, since four monthly payments ($316) already cost more. Beyond six months, the annual plan wins easily: $360 for a year against $576 for two back-to-back six-month plans. Clinical-year students who use OnlineMedEd for shelf exams on every rotation are the ones who get the most out of the annual plan, because the library covers each clerkship.
- Under two months away: monthly
- Three to six months: the $288 plan
- Six months or more: the $360 annual plan
- Clerkship students: annual covers every rotation
Refunds, renewals and cancellation
Read this part before paying, because the safety net is thin. Archer Review's refund policy says question bank and content review purchases are fully refundable only if you contact them within 24 hours of purchase and have not completed the baseline assessment. After that, its terms say paid subscription fees are non-refundable except where the law requires, with case-by-case exceptions at the company's discretion. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period under the same conditions. You can cancel the renewal from your account settings or by contacting support, and you keep access until the end of the period you paid for, but you will not get a refund for that period. In practice that means a monthly plan renews at $79 and an annual plan at $360 unless you cancel first.
- Full refund only within 24 hours
- Only if the baseline assessment is not finished
- Plans renew automatically
- Cancel any time, access runs to the end of the term
OnlineMedEd discounts that actually apply
The standing discount is the group code. OnlineMedEd's group discount page asks you to submit a short form and sends back a promo code for 10% off the new subscriptions, which takes the annual plan from $360 to $324 and the six-month plan from $288 to $259.20. Some schools hold institutional agreements; OnlineMedEd says nearly 90 medical institutions have adopted it, so ask your student affairs office before you buy, because a school license makes the purchase unnecessary. OnlineMedEd also sells gift subscriptions. We did not find a free trial or a free tier on the current pricing page.
- Group code: 10% off
- Annual plan with the group code: $324
- Check for a school license first
- No free trial listed on the pricing page
OnlineMedEd vs UWorld, Amboss, Sketchy and Boards and Beyond on price
OnlineMedEd sits in the middle of the USMLE price range, and it is one of the few resources that sells videos, notes and questions in a single plan. A year of OnlineMedEd is $360. UWorld's Step 1 QBank, read from medical.uworld.com on October 19, 2026, is $349 for 30 days, $459 for 90, $519 for 180, $579 for 360 and $749 for 730 days, and that buys questions only. Amboss is $149 a year for a membership with 50 Qbank questions a month, or $448 for a year with unlimited Qbank. Sketchy Medical is $449.99 for 12 months. Boards and Beyond was $249 for a year when we read it in September, and Picmonic for Medicine is $179.88. The usual pairing is one video library plus UWorld, so the real question is whether OnlineMedEd's bank of 3,300+ questions replaces UWorld for you. For most students aiming high on Step 2 CK, it does not.
- OnlineMedEd: $360 a year, videos plus questions
- UWorld Step 1 QBank: $579 for 360 days
- Amboss with unlimited Qbank: $448 a year
- Boards and Beyond: $249 a year
How much OnlineMedEd costs for PA students
PA students pay the same $79, $288 or $360 as medical students, and the PA plan includes 600+ whiteboard videos, 3,000+ note pages and 2,800+ PANCE-style questions. Against the PA-specific options it is mid-priced. Smarty PANCE sells a full year for $79, Picmonic for PA is $203.88 a year, Sketchy PA is $349.99 for 12 months, UWorld's PA QBank starts at $309 and Hippo's AAPA PANCE and PANRE review with its question bank is $495 for a year. If you mainly want a large question bank, Rosh or UWorld is the more direct buy. If you want lectures, notes and questions in one place on a budget, OnlineMedEd's annual PA plan at $360 is a reasonable middle option.
- PA plan: same $79, $288, $360
- 2,800+ PANCE-style questions
- Smarty PANCE one year: $79
- Hippo PANCE and PANRE review: $495
Where Aspirants.ai fits next to OnlineMedEd
OnlineMedEd is good at teaching the concept on a whiteboard and handing you the notes. What a fixed bank of 3,300 questions cannot do is keep giving you new vignettes on the exact topic you keep missing. Aspirants.ai writes fresh USMLE, COMLEX and PANCE questions on whatever you choose, explains every answer choice, and answers follow-up questions at any hour, so you can test a topic right after the video ends. Many students keep a video library and use Aspirants.ai for the practice in between. It costs from $24 a month billed yearly or $49 month to month, and you can cancel any time.
- New board-style vignettes on demand
- Every answer choice explained
- From $24/mo billed yearly, cancel any time

Honest answers
OnlineMedEd cost by plan length for MD, DO and PA students, now sold through Archer Review, answered straight.
OnlineMedEd costs $79 for one month, $288 for six months or $360 for a year, read from onlinemeded.com/pricing on October 19, 2026. That is $79, $48 or $30 a month. The MD, DO and PA programs cost the same, and a 10% group code brings the annual plan to $324.
The monthly plan is $79. On the six-month plan you pay $288 up front, which works out to $48 a month, and on the annual plan you pay $360, or $30 a month. Paying monthly for a full year would cost $948, so the annual plan saves $588 if you know you will use it all year.
No. The current pricing page sells only paid plans, from $79 a month or $360 a year, and we found no free trial or free tier listed. The original OnlineMedEd was known for free whiteboard videos with paid Premium extras, which is why many students still think it is free. The new Archer Review platform is subscription only.
For clinical-year students and anyone who learns well from whiteboard lectures, the $360 annual plan is good value, because it bundles videos, notes and 3,300+ questions for every clerkship. It is less worth it as your only question bank before Step 2 CK, where most students still buy UWorld. Buy monthly first if you are unsure.
Yes. OnlineMedEd is now sold as OnlineMedEd, powered by Archer Review. The pricing page redirects you to Archer Review for checkout and login, and the new platform runs on Archer Review. Current subscribers on the original platform switch by emailing support@archerreview.com, and their old progress cannot be transferred.
The PA program costs the same as the MD and DO programs: $79 a month, $288 for six months or $360 a year. It includes 600+ whiteboard videos, 3,000+ illustrated note pages and 2,800+ questions for the PANCE and PANRE. For comparison, Smarty PANCE sells a year for $79 and Picmonic PA costs $203.88 a year.
OnlineMedEd's prices are student prices already, and the standing discount is a group code: submit the form on its group discount page and you get a promo code for 10% off the new subscriptions. That makes the annual plan $324. Ask your school too, since OnlineMedEd says nearly 90 medical institutions have adopted it.
Only within a short window. Archer Review's refund policy makes question bank and content review purchases fully refundable if you contact them within 24 hours of purchase and have not completed the baseline assessment. After that, subscription fees are non-refundable except where the law requires, with exceptions at the company's discretion.
Yes. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period under the same conditions unless you cancel. You can cancel the renewal in your account settings or through support, and you keep access until the end of the term you paid for. You do not get a refund for the current term, so cancel before the renewal date.
For a year, yes. OnlineMedEd is $360 for twelve months of videos, notes and questions, while UWorld's Step 1 QBank is $579 for 360 days of questions only, read from both sites on October 19, 2026. They are not substitutes, though: most students who buy OnlineMedEd still add UWorld for their main question bank.
